About the role

Reporting to the Group Manager Projects, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe project delivery through strong field presence, contractor engagement, and proactive risk management.

You’ll be hands-on across multiple sites, ensuring projects are mobilised, executed and handed over safely and in line with WHS requirements.


Key responsibilities

  • Support project teams to deliver work safely and in line with WHS legislation
  • Review contractor safety documentation (SWMS, risk assessments, plans)
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and critical control verifications
  • Participate in project planning, shutdowns and mobilisation activities
  • Support incident investigations and ensure learnings are captured
  • Monitor contractor performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide practical, risk-based safety advice across project teams

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • 2–3+ years’ experience in mining, construction or heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of risk management and high-risk work activities
  • Proven ability to influence and engage with operational stakeholders
  • Experience with audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance

Desirable: ICAM training, Cert IV TAE, First Aid, project or contractor experience
